The closing of the family business and the end of a period in their lives. An overcoming challenge that takes place when Delia has to change her life and move on as she is now more than 50. This documentary is about that crisis and the importance of finding oneself.

A story of siblings. The passage of time bounces off the empty walls of the family home. Julia and Manu live together with the silence and the isolation, turning their backs on reality. Innocence accompanies the youngest one in an attempt to keep his sister afloat.

Arena narra la historia de una despedida, pero también habla del proceso creativo desde el punto de vista de quien escribe. Ahonda literalmente en la mente del escritor que utiliza la ficción para auto-descubrirse en sus palabras. La protagonista de este cortometraje es una mente en la que la realidad, la literatura, y el mundo onírico, forman una mezcla homogénea.

A piece made as part of the workshop Mirar o río: cinema e paisaxe (‘Looking at the River: Cinema and Landscape’) taught by Lois Patiño during Edition 01 of the Pontevedra Novos Cinemas Festival (2016). Research and experimentation taking the idea of water as temptation and hazard, based on a poem by Pablo Javier Pérez López included in his book La orilla detenida (2015).

A vella e o deserto gira alrededor de una mujer simbólica, otra Xonxa, que esta vez no es labrga, tiene una escoba y no una hoz. Esta figura es ella misma y cualquier otra. Nuestra anciana vive en el desierto del sueño, donde nada se posee y todo aparece, fruto del trabajo continuo, noche tras noche. Para la mujer todo es desierto. Ella se afana en soledad, y de su tesón brotan los jardines.
La juventud, el amor, la abundancia o la partida, aparecen codificadas, repetidas, en la ilusión perpetua de la memoria. Allí, el viento zumba y vuelan, como volaban en la niñez, las cometas.

Short documentary genre that mixes images of a work stockroom with outdoor shots of London. The difficulties of the city are portrayed through the warehouse workers, the personal thoughts of someone who is living through the changes involved in a new place or Brexit. The images are experimental and make it possible to talk about memory and changes.
